Ongoing Research and Future Potential
In the fast-evolving world of healthcare, technology plays an increasingly crucial role in transforming how we diagnose and treat diseases. Among these advancements, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is emerging as a powerful tool in the early detection of breast cancer, one of the most common and challenging diseases affecting women globally. At VE3 Global Ltd., we are deeply committed to harnessing the power of AI to improve breast cancer diagnostics, offering solutions that enhance accuracy and help healthcare professionals make more informed decisions.
Why Breast Cancer Diagnostics Need a Boost
Breast cancer diagnosis has traditionally relied on mammography, a critical tool that has saved countless lives by detecting cancer early. However, despite its importance, mammography is not without its challenges. Radiologists often face difficulties interpreting images, leading to false positives or missed diagnoses. These challenges become even more pronounced in symptomatic breast clinics, where patients present with concerning symptoms that require immediate and precise evaluation.
Enter AI: A Game-Changer in Breast Cancer Detection
AI has the potential to revolutionize how we approach breast cancer diagnostics. By analyzing mammography images with incredible precision, AI can assist radiologists in identifying even the smallest signs of cancer, which the human eye might easily miss. This capability is particularly valuable in symptomatic clinics, where the pressure to provide accurate and timely diagnoses is immense.
At VE3, we’ve developed an AI tool designed to improve breast cancer detection. Our AI system can analyze 2D Full-Field Digital Mammography (FFDM) and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) images, helping radiologists confidently detect abnormalities. What sets our solution apart is its ability to provide real-time analysis, offering immediate results that enable quick decision-making in critical moments.
Expanding the Impact: AI in Symptomatic Breast Clinics
While AI has already proven its worth in breast cancer screening, its application in symptomatic breast clinics is still being explored. These clinics face unique challenges, as they often deal with patients who already show symptoms that could indicate the presence of cancer. The stakes are high, and the need for accurate diagnostics is even more pressing.
At VE3, we’re taking on this challenge head-on. We’re conducting a retrospective study using a dataset of approximately 25,000 cases from symptomatic breast clinics. Our goal is to evaluate how well our AI tool can perform in these settings, where the clinical presentation of breast cancer is often more complex and varied.
Our research is driven by the hypothesis that an AI tool developed for breast screening could also be a game-changer in symptomatic clinics. However, we understand that this transition requires rigorous testing to ensure the AI’s performance meets the high standards required in these critical environments.
Collaborating for a Better Future in Diagnostics
Our work in this area isn’t happening in isolation. We’re proud to collaborate with some leading healthcare institutions, including the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and RM Partners. Together, we’re exploring the optimal use cases for AI in symptomatic breast clinics, aiming to define best practices that could reshape how these clinics operate.
One of the unique aspects of our approach is our focus on data security and privacy. All the data used in our research is processed in a secure cloud environment managed by the Royal Surrey Scientific Computing team, ensuring that patient information is handled with the utmost care. Moreover, no data is shared with third parties, and the analysis is conducted strictly within a research framework.
The Benefits of AI-Powered Diagnostics
The integration of AI into breast cancer diagnostics offers numerous benefits that extend beyond just improving accuracy:
Enhanced Accuracy
Our AI tool helps radiologists detect breast cancer more accurately, reducing the chances of false positives and negatives.
Real-Time Analysis
Our AI solution allows radiologists to receive immediate results, allowing for faster and more effective clinical decision-making.
Adaptability
Our AI system is designed to work across different clinical settings, from routine screenings to more complex symptomatic cases.
Continuous Learning
Our AI is built to learn and improve from each analysis, ensuring that it evolves to meet healthcare providers’ changing needs.
Looking Forward: The Future of AI in Healthcare
We are excited about the future as we continue to push the boundaries of what AI can achieve in breast cancer diagnostics. The insights gained from our ongoing research will enhance our AI tool and contribute to a broader understanding of how AI can be integrated into healthcare practices to improve patient outcomes.
At VE3 Global Ltd., we believe that the future of breast cancer diagnostics lies at the intersection of advanced technology and human expertise. By leveraging AI, we empower healthcare providers with the tools to deliver more accurate, efficient, and personalized care.

As the model processes each token (which could be a word or a part of a word), a router network within each layer selects the two most suitable experts from the available eight. These two experts process the token, and their outputs are then mixed together. The combined result is passed on to the next layer, where the process repeats.
